Question: What is the fastest medecine to heal the wound from post operation of fistula

Answer: Estimada Sr Lopez, No hay medicinas, pero tecnologias, tal vez. Much depends on the type of fistula. some of which respond dramatically, and others less so or not at all. The only recommendation I can make is to speak with your caretaker first, and then give it a try. You will know within the money back guarantee period if EMpulse works.

Question: Is your device superior to other PEMF devices because it is using faster pulses? Is it superior to Warp 10 light healing? Can EMprobe cure toe nail fungi and rashes. I am fascinated by PEMF, I live in New Zealand. Yours sincerly,John Railton

Answer: John, Very close! Specifically, the efficacy is tied to the speed of rise time from zero to peak power or dB/dt in physics speak. This allows maximum inclusion of harmonic activity or Fourier transients, which are transduced into acoustic signal series by elements within the protein, which then computes these signals to change its shape to set in motion cell activities that restores the cell following threat. Bet your glad you asked. In effect, the EM field drives a low voltage information circuit that controls the ATP driven power circuit to control cell function. Certainly not the first time we have seen a low voltage information circuit control a power circuit. No, EMpulse will not cure toe nail fungi to my knowledge.

Question: recently had x-rays on both knees i have 25% of my cartiledge left will your instrument help me replace cartiledge

Answer: Richard, Xrays are not accurate in determining amount of cartilage remaining in a knee. Having said that, we know that technology similar to ours can stimulate cartilage formation very substantially. We have not specifically studied our device in this application, but general studies in gene stimulation that we have published and that of NASA indicates our nanosecond design is superior to slower pulse designs that have been used in the studies I mentioned. I would also recommend glycosaminoglycan supplements and use of our technology after discussing it with a health provider licensed to use this technology in your state. If your doctor doesn't understand it or refuses to discuss it with you, I'd suggest you find one that will. The recommendations I have made here are based on science and rigorous studies, don't accept dismissal without consideration because it could be much better than "more drugs" and "more surgery". Hope that helps

Question: Hi I have a small painsless indirect inguinal hernia on my left side. Would the probe be helpful in getting this to heal?? Thanks in advance. Peter

Answer: Peter, Anatomic defects don't meet the Lazarus test for our technology; only Christ raised the dead to life. Having said that, our technology will greatly accelerate the healing following surgery IF you begin using it 4-7 day BEFORE the surgery. We have demonstrated at work completed at Colmbia Univ that HSP 70 is greatly up-regulated by EMpulse. This "chaperone" protein protects cells from death when undergoing threat whether from surgery or injury such as heart attack, trauma, or stroke. This entire field. electrogenomics, or the stimulation of restorative proteins with EM fields, is the most exciting part of ur technology and is beginning to explain the healing responses we saw in bone, nerve, and skin wouunds in past years. Hope that helps

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, Have you had any experience with treating multiple sclerosis using pulsed electromagnetic therapy? Are you familiar with the work of Dr. Reuven Sandyk who has treated a variety of neurological conditions using the method, including MS and Parkinson's disease? (Sandyk is referenced in the NASA study cited on your website.) I would appreciate any insights and/or experience you can share regarding the use of DEPTH for treating MS. With best regards, Mark Laser

Answer: Mark, A less bioeffective pulse design was reported by Univ of Wa investigators to produce statistically significan improvement in four outcome criteria in a double blind study. Science aside, we have numerous MS persons using our technology with reported improvement in several areas. Our CFO has MS and can be reached via info@em-probe.com. She reports our technology combined with LDN restored substantial function after being nearly wheel chair impaired by the disease.

Question: I'm trying to convince a reluctant person to try your unit. How do I verify the claim that "EMpulse circuit is FDA certified for relief of joint." I've gone in circles on the FDA website and can't locate the information.

Answer: Mike, No condition has been more convincingly demonstrated as responsive to this technology than that of joint pain. In fact, in osteoarthritis, rigorous studies report it stops the arthritic process- NOT THE CASE WITH RA- if that is the condition you address. In RA approx 60% of users report statistically significant pain relief, but no change in joint dynamics has been reported to date. Hope that helps

Question: Do you have any experience or knowledge of studies using your device, or similar, on persons receiving hemodialysis due to low kidney function fron stone damage & diabetes? Any info would be appreciated.

Answer: Mike, This technology is reported to enhance antioxidant efficacy 100-fold, and as you know free radicals or oxidants are killers in diabetes. Similar devices have been repeatedly reported effective in treating diabetic polyneuropathy, but none so far on the kidneys.

Question: I have blockage in the vanes feeding the hart mussel. Am told they can't use shunts because where they are at yhey might open the vanes but block other vanes.Could this gadget help?

Answer: Milton, Scientific studies indicate that could be case, but you must discuss the use of our technology with your doctor-have him call me. Almost as important as the use of our technology is the daily use of a GOOD omega-3 product, I recommend www.vitalchoice.com as a source.

Question: What is electromagnetic therapy?

Answer: It doesn't get any more fundamental than than Mollie. It is a therapy designed to relieve pain and restore tissues that is used in homes throughout the industrialized world BUT not in the United States. I'll give you two guesses as to why...You have been to our website, sorry you were not able to get more information.

Question: 1.i have a ACL sprain rt knee.2.left wrist when doing dumbell curls bones crack in my wrist when i rotate my wrist as i lift the dumbell.3.i hav a possible enlarged prostrate dr. said not serious..can this reduce the size?or keep it from enlaRGING?4.periocally have ED issues not all the time but frequently..is this similar to ultra sound wave technology?thank you ron shaffer(im 62 178lbs always active

Answer: Ronald, The beauty of a universal force as a therapeutic agent is its effect everywhere electrons have gone awry; in your case, four places. The ACL and wrist are reported in the literature, and by our users (see testimonials). The wrist may require daily use following workouts, but can be conveniently arranged with a small sleeve to hold EMpulse in place. 3. Studies have demonstrated this technology to be superior to Viagra; neither are whiz-bang erections, but ours works as well or better without the unpleasant side effects. I have found it helpful in cases of prostatitis and a large study found it effective. Talk to your urologist first on that application as that is spoken of as "off label", i.e. other than the pain in muscles and joints for which we are approved.

Question: I've been experimenting with EM-Probe. Works great on soft tissue & tendon injuries. I developed osteo-arthritis in first 2 joints left hand middle fingers. If you squeezed my hand, I'd have to yell (got x-ray confirm). Likely cause vibration from power tools. Started using EM-Probe on hand. No pain, normal function. If I stop using, pain comes back after about a week. More I use it, less it comes back. Hardly a double-blinded randomized study with 66,000 folks. But, great work. JIm Larsen

Answer: Hello Jim, I submit this to public view because Jim was not an easy convert. In fact, he had serious doubts about EMpulse. Jim will find, as others have, that repetitive use will allay symptoms more and more until he will not require constant use. It takes time, but good studies demonstrate this will STOP arthritis, in addition to relieving symptoms..

Question: Hi Dr, Last night I woke up to an excruciating pain in the back of both calfs, it happened twice in the one night;today am experiencing pains in my left arm & hand also have a headache what could this possibly ( I do have poor circulation) be as I've never had this pain before also the back of my neck is currently hurting. Await your response thank you Angela

Answer: Angela, Sure wish I could be of help way over there in the UK, but my giving advice without seeing you or knowing your case better would make a fool of me for doing so and one of you for accepting it. Go see your doctor is the best advice I can give.

Question: Dr.Gordon, 2 days ago after working in my yard all day,I started to get electric shocks thru my legs & feet. I am a type 2 diabetic taking oral meds and was wondering if you could help me out.Thankyou

Answer: Steven, This sounds like diabetic neuropathy, which you should discuss with your doctor. PEMF technology similar to EMpulse has been reported effective in relieving such pain, and we have a number of anecdotal reports of EMpulse being effective. This is an off label application, so check it out with your doc first. If he doesn't listen, you may want to find another doc.

Question: Anyone helped with low back inflamation that has no physical chiropractic reason for it. Also, what about colon inflamation?

Answer: Mason, Some might suggest you LBP and colon inflammation could be tied together. I say that because we can help many cases of LBP, and while you have it, you might want to see if your colon improves. OR speak with your doc about using it on your colon area. He can show you where best to apply it. IF he laughs at you, get another doc. Most docs don't know enough about PEMF technology to laugh at anyone, yet there are 2000 articles in Nat Lib of Medicine.

Question: I have a 9 1/2" Harrington Rod from L5 to T4. Lot of pain left shoulder blade area 2-" down to the left side close to rod; can an Ultrasound be safetly used close to the rod?

Answer: Barbara, Ours is not ultrasound technology and can be used safely around metal implants such as rods where they induce very small electric currents you might experience as a gentle zzzing. The pain in your scapular area my be referred and thus require some real searching before you find the inciting cause more likely near the midline where the rod is. Good luck

Question: What is the effect of empulse on the lower back after an epidural steroid shot? Is it counteracted or made less effective? Would it have no effect on inflammation but yet still possibly help improve underlying tissue growth?

Answer: Suzanne, EMpulse after epidurals is a mixed bag since cortisone makes our technology less effective in many cases. Wait two to three weeks after epi's and try EMpulse faithfully each day for two or three 30 min treatments for the first week. I think you'll be happy with what you experience.

Question: I want to send this to my sister for lower-back problems (fractured disk/compressed, bulging disks). She has had breast cancer. Would empulse restart the breast cancer?

Answer: A perfect question, an imperfect answer. What if you sis begins using EMpulse, and for no related reason her breast cancer becomes active. Could any reasoning change your mind that EMpulse caused it? There is no scientific evidence that using EMpulse on the low back will activate breast cancer, and I have had no reports from women that it has. Hope that helps.

Question: Dear Dr Gordon, I am a 32 year old woman in Melbourne, Australia. For six years I have had severe neck spasms which have been very hard to cure. I have tried every possible therapy, conventional and alternative. There are some underlying structural problems due to an accident in my childhood, but the root of the problem seems to be that the muscle tissue and discs have degenerated to such a degree that I can't build any muscle strength to protect the area. Given that this is a long-term and hazy problem rather than a specific injury, I don't know whether the EM pulse will help. What do you think? Thanking you, Siobhan

Answer: Siobhan, Almost impossible to predict, BUT we have countless users with chronic pain who swear by EMpulse as the first effective relief they have found. Try it! It has a money back guarantee, and you will know within 30 days IF YOU USE EMpulse. Doesn't work if you don't use it.

Question: It is very kind of you to have this Q&A section on your web site for us to learn more about the Em-Probe and also to be able to ask questions. I am an 80 year old female who just received my Em-Probe and am excited about using it. I have lower back pain and Atrial Fibrillation. I sleep on a magnetic pad and a magnetic pillow. 1. Would there be any interference if I slept with the Em-Probe under my back and on top of the magnetic bed pad? 2. I also use a CPAP which I don't think would cause any interference. Thank you very much for reading my question.

Answer: Norma, I think we should dub you "the magnetic mama"; sound like you are way ahead of the curve. A perturbation from our EMpulse should not create a problem with the bed pad. I'm afraid I don't recognize the CPAP acronym, can't help there.

Question: Hi... Is your device safe to use for someone with Leukemia and possible skin cancer? Sorry, if it is the 2nd time...

Answer: Conrad, No evidence either way. Use in either of these conditions would require close oversight by your physician. It is probably safe, but doubtfully effective-at least no scientific studies indicate it is.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon Is it safe to use this over HEART area? I did sustained injury over my chest/heart, breast... abdomen area. It was a hard blow from the hurracaine 3 yrs. ago. I did have a heart injury at that time. Now X-ray shows changes in bony areas, also in my breast bone. Another injury is deeply in my high cervical spine. Please let me know. Thank you.

Answer: Dear Bo, I can only answer this in general terms since I don't know the specifics of your injury. Our technology is approved for reducing pain in muscles and bones, and does that very well. Our 30 day money back guarantee will give you ample time to see if EMpulse helps. If not, send it back.

Question: Hi Dr. Gordon I've been using the EM-Probe on my bulging disks and it seems to be getting more stable. However, since I had been staying up all night working, I felt generally weakened so I also tried it over the heart area, but after a few minutes I noticed some chest pain so I stopped. I took a walk to the pharmacy and found my pulse was up to 108, although it later dropped to 91 and then 73. I read on another website that, overall, PEMF devices are able to cure a multitude of heart problems, however, in an experiment with an EMF device, one woman developed paroxysmal tachycardia. That can develop into atrial fibrillation and/or ventricular tachycardia leading to cardiac arrest. So it seems that there is some element of risk in using it to "improve" a heart, especially maybe when the heart has already been weakened by staying up working all night. Now, I am confining its use to the lower back and I hope to see continued improvement there. For the heart, I will take fish oil, carnitine, resveratrol and hawthorn instead. Incidentally, there are no physicians in Japan interested in or even aware of the use of PEMF for any purpose.

Answer: Howard, Thanks for the information on your low back pain. I would expect that problem to continue improving. While I have never heard of an experience similar to yours, the experience you relate is a perfect example why I completely agree with FDA in noting that "a licensed healthcare provider" should serve as oversight for any "off label" applications. The fact you are an intelligent fellow is not training enough to oversee this. When I personally used this on my heart, I FIRST discussed it with my cardiologist, who I was surprised to learn was familiar with treating heart problems with this technology as a result of having been part of a State Dept sponsored group of heart specialists that were sent to the USSR (1972)to observe its use at the then world famous Myasnikov Institute. For Howard, and all who read this, don't play doctor with your heart. The old saying applies, "he who would treat himself has a fool for a doctor, and the same for a patient". It is fair that if a doc won't listen that you seek another that will, even in Japan where I am aware some reasonably good research is conducted with PEMF technology

Question: Hi dr. Gordon, Im a 27 years old male, Ive been suffering of tinnitus for the past 5 month, after loud music exposure, can you help me to get rid of this?

Answer: Gero, One study reports efficacy in treating tinnitus, and I have no personal experience with treating it. Talk to your doctor, take advantage of our money back guarantee and try it for 30 days. Perhaps the study is correct, but I cannot assure you of that.

Question: Is EM Pulse related to Rife Machines technology? If so, how? Do you run frequencies? Will it treat, or kill free radials in general, or in particular muscular-schetural related free-radicals only?

Answer: Jon, both emit a pulse in the electromagnetic spectrum, but the similarities are few after that. We have a frequency; it has not been shown that "running" frequencies is effective. Free radicals are the same wherever they occur and by assisting the efficacy of antioxidants designed to neutralize them we can be helpful in relieving pain and assisting the healing of tissue

Question: COULD THE EM-PULSE HELP DEFER HIP REPLACEMENT? THANK YOU!! DIANE

Answer: Diane, We have a lot of users who swear it does, which sometimes depends on the underlying cause. I am very comfortable advising people with arthritis that EMpulse is worth a try. Both publisheds studies and my personal experience indicate it can.

Question: I'VE HAD RADIATION TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY HEAD (FOR NON-HODGKINS LYMPHOMA-IN 1996) I AM THANKFUL TO BE HERE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A PERFORATED EARDRUM; IT HAS BEEN SURGICALLY REPAIRED REPAIRDED TWICE , BUT BECAUSE OF THE DAMANAGED TISSUE THE REPAIR SLOUGHS OFF. THERFORE I HAVE CONSTANT RINGING & PERIODIC NECK CRAMPS IF I TURN MY HEAD A CERTAIN WAY! I PURCHASED YOU EM-PROBE & CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT! ANY SUGGESTIONS? HEARD YOU ON DR. BITTAKER- THANK YOU!!! CHRIS & DIANE I PURCHAED THE EM-PULSE

Answer: Radiation! What an enigma! This technology, in less effective pulse designs has been reported helpful in tinnitus (ringing in the ears)& the periodic neck cramps should respond. Too bad you didn't have EMpulse around BEFORE the eardrum repair. It sets up the healing mechanics very nicely by protecting cells against the damage created by surgery, and improves healing outcomes by a substantial margin. The protective protein stimulated is called Heat Shock Protein 70. Talk to your doc about using it over the ear and the painful neck area before starting treatment

Question: Dr. Gordon, I suffered a fractured femur head + dislocated hip from a skiing accident. I am a 35 year old female who was very active. I had 'internal fixation-minimal invasive' surgery. The Doctors have put in 3 pins to hold the femur head in place. It has been 1 month into recovery. I am feeling a little better after the first 3 weeks. I am moving around on crutches. I've had one xray since leaving hospital and the Doc says that the bone seems to be alinging. In 2 to 3 weeks, I am to begin weight-bearing on the foot. Have begun physio. What you can tell me about 'life after' this accident? What can or cannot be done? How will it effect my life? Do pins stay in ? If they do, what are my limitations? What should I avoid? Can it fully heal? Thank you, Meenu

Answer: I am honored you would contact me with these questions, but they are for your "real" doctor to answer. I can tell you our technology will assist with pain relief, might have been used before surgery to protect cells damaged in the injury and facing further damage from the surgery, and will contribute to more rapid healing without posing problems for the pins employed during surgery. Good luck, and make your doc answer these questions.

Question: will pemf help diverticulitis?

Answer: Lee, Good question! Unfortunately other than my intuition we can help inflammation and pain, not much is known with use in diverticulitis. I have no experience with any patients who have used this for diverticulitis.

Question: Dr., have you had any success in using this to Rx Atrial Fibrillation?

Answer: Richard, Depends on what causes it. If inflammation or congestive heart failure due to myopathy, it would be worth speaking to your doc about trying it. Less likely if other cause, but worth checking with him and seeing if worth the effort.

Question: Can this therapy be used if I have a pace-maker?

Answer: Andree, Sorry, we cannot accept the obvious liability issues in use over a pacemaker. It can be used in other areas of the body without problems.

Question: Hi Dr.Gordon, Just found your web site today and quickly reviewed the many Q&A's. I only saw one that mentioned a problem I've been experienceing for over 3 years now, plantar fasciitis. Two podiatrists, pt, orthotics and most recently a steroid shot and the painfull problem still plagues me. At 60 yrs. old, in good health and on no meds (but lots of vitamins and supplements), I don't want to think of retiring and not being able to walk and be as active as I plan. Do you know of any case in which the electromagnetic treatment cured this condition or at least helped keep it under control and with minimal pain? Thank you in advance for your reply. Georgann

Answer: Georgann, A most difficult problem that responds to three things: 1-weight loss 2-correctly posted orthotics 3-treatment for 2- 12 weeks with EMpulse. In treating thousands of athletic injuries, and many cases of PF, that worked 4 out of 5 times. Most common reason for failure- Number one. BTW, I don't believe I can remember a single case that I saw that responded to steroids. I never used them in this condition. Hope that helps

Question: Can we use this device to treat a growth below the brain?

Answer: Andrew, I am very sorry, but no science nor any personal use experience would suggest efficacy in such situations.

Question: will em probe work for phorises, also blockage in heart arties

Answer: Frank, Don't know what phorises (psoriasis??- if so, no studies have been done and I have no personal experience with cases of mine). Depending on cause of the blockage, this technology has been shown to assist new SMALL blood vessel formation and to stimulate Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF). You must be under the care of a physician in this and other "off label" applications, so discuss it with your doctor before deciding. If he won't discuss it, find one that will.

Question: Dr.Gordon,I have resolving 4 vessel cardiac disease thanx in large part to the linus pauling thrapy and weight loss. Can the em-probe be of assistance as well? I want to use it while I work and sleep.Increasing O2 and small vessels I would think could be an enormous help.I would need the 9v and 120v adaptor.I am anxious for any response but certainly respect your extremely busy schedule.Thank you in advance for your amazing work

Answer: George, What a genius Linus Pauling! Typically, the AMA decided to discredit him along with their bandido drug friends. May I suggest you consider also the use of 2gm per day of fish oil omega 3 fatty acids. A good site is www.vitalchoice.com; not cheap, but probably the best omega 3 on the market. This technology is reported in peer reviewed literature to stimulate Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), which became the Holy Grail of cardiologists in a failed program to inject it directly into arteries of the heart. We also have several users reporting excellent results with our technology and the use of fish oil omega 3 fatty acids. FDA regulations require me to advise you of the need to have supervision by your physician. If he won't discuss it, find one who will. You are in charge of your health, not him.

Question: Dr. Gordon, I read with interest "This is an off-label use of PEMF technology backed by the following scientific article. Any off label use should be done in cooperation with a licensed healthcare provider supervising such application. EMpulse for PROSTATITIS My concern is that to the degree Prostatitis may be a precursor to Prostate Cancer and that the EMpulse promotes tissue repair and growth; is there any concern that this stimulation may help promote the growth of cancer cells in the prostate. I am a 66 yr old stage IV non-hogkins lymphoma survivor who is experiencing what could be the beginning of some prostate challenges (frequent urination 2 to 3 times per night). I would like to use your product to ward off any increase in this challenge, however, I am concerned about the implications regarding stimulating cancer cell growth. Thanks Dave "enjoy being"

Answer: Dave, Our concern is your concern, AND exactly why we are candid about physician oversight. While it does not appear likely these fields would stimulate prostate cancer cells, not enough work has been reported to make that absolute. We have numerous anecdotal reports that support the prostatis study cited, which is a totally different horse than prostate cancer. Get clearance from your doctor with any off label application. If he isn't interested, get another doctor. Hope that helps

Question: On your Migraine link, Clinical study, it says it was put on the "inner thigh" Why there? I have bad migraines and am considering it.

Answer: Louise, The inner thigh study was initiated to treat fractured neck of femur in osteoporotic women. Several women in the study noted their headaches went away, and several confused orthopedists cast about for an answer until an alternative medicine practitioner told them about meridians and the fact they go through the groin in their body circuits. This is an off label use, which means you should discuss this with your doctor first, and use it with his participation. I never say direction, because few doctors know much more than lay users about this technology. I will discuss it with him if he cares to call. If he refuses, you may wish to find a caregiver that will call. Most people use it around the jaw, ear, or back of head where the triggers for these very painful experiences seem to lurk. Hope that helps

Question: Can Blount Trauma cause heart blockage? If so can this occur even without any brusing, broken ribs or other objective sympthems appearing? Can you direct me to any literature that I can review on this issue? Thanks for the help. Duane

Answer: Duane, A very difficult situation to imagine IF you are referring to vessel blockage. vascular insufficiency is a progressive disease that takes years to evolve. I had a heart attack at 33 yrs of age, and had a second at 38 yrs that was more severe, and then a bypass at 48 yrs, and remain in good health (thanks to 2gms of fish oil capsules per day and use of my EMpulse device) and a lot of virgin olive oil (2-3 tablespoons per day) in my food. I am known to drink a tablespoon of olive oil with a little apple cider vinegar before dinner very regularly.I use my EMpulse (known to stimulate new small blood vessel formation 4-6 hours daily when working at my desk, and wear it in my pocket when working. You need to talk all this over with your doctor and get to know much more about taking care of your condition. You might wish to read the EU report on fish oil use and recurrent heart attacks, and there is a book out by a Greek woman doctor who is highly qualified on omega 3 diets .I apologize to her and to you for not remembering her name Hope that helps.

Question: How does the em-pulse compare to the multi wave oscillators like the bio-charger and the vibe machine? Do you feel the tesla technology is safe considering its high power output? Have there been studies on the em-pulse in relation to cancer treatment and chronic viral infections. Thank you for your time, Christine

Answer: Christine, I don't know Christine, as I am very busy trying to perfect our technology. World Health Organization studied therapeutic levels of pulsed electromagnetic field technology and found it free of adverse side effects. We have not convened any studies on cancer or chronic viral infections.

Question: Dr. Gordon, I got you heal em, for my dog a few years back, as he was very old and it made himable to walk better in his last months. I have been suffering from cronic back pain for 2.5 months now ! This weekend I remembered that I had your product..... Within a few hours the "charlie horse" in my lower back & hip was gone... THANK YOU !

Answer: Thank you Michelle, We get emails such as this weekly; periodically I enjoy sharing them with Ask Dr G readers. Each one is a thrill to read even though I have received such comments for 25 years. It is an honor to receive such emails and humbling to be associated with this safe, effective technology.

Question: In our clinical psychology practice, we do neurofeedback therapy. Would the use of pulsed magnetic fields be a good therapy to add to augment help for ADD, ADHD, depression, multi-tasking and focus problems? Thanks, Joyce Schaffer, Office Manager

Answer: Joyce, Good question, wish I had the answer. It has been demonstrated, in humans, that one can entrain brain rhythm per EEG with PEMF, but not much else has been done with the technology in regards to affecting clinical conditions. You are familiar with rTMS which uses several thousand gauss fields to treat depression, but such fields seem insanely strong to me. Why use several thousand when 10-20 gauss fields are demonstrated effective in controlling EEGs. "More is better" has long been a belief in medicine that I do not agree with. We have had a few anecdotal reports of beneficial effect, but not enough to support such "off label" uses. Wish my answer was more helpful.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, My mother has congestive heart failure. She is ambulatory but her doctor has placed her on several medications. Coumadin is one and Pentoxifylli is another. Both of these medicines relate to circulation as I understand it. Could there be any contraindication with the EMpulse and these medicines? Also, where did you wear the EMpulse when you treated your own heart? For how long each day? Do you still wear it everyday? Thank you, doctor. Jeff

Answer: The heart is nothing to free lance with thus I encourage you to consider this only after discussing it fully with your cardiologist. I can tell you that Dr Tom Goodwin of NASA has shared with me his observation of increasing mitochondria 300-400% with 7-10 days treatment. In addition, there are several articles that report increased small vessel growth in tissues deprived of their vascular supply. Both these are critical to helping a compromised heart. The increased vessels bring the oxygen and the mitochondria use it to process sugars into energy much more effectively. Have your doctor call me, which is usually the biggest hurdle; I'll be happy to discuss the science with him, and advise how I used it, which was every day over my heart worn in a shirt pocket, where I have it as I write you.

Question: Hi Dr Gordon, I have be diagnosed with osteoarthritist and the doctor says that there is no cure. Could you please tell me if you agree and do you have any suggestions to help me. Cheers Victoria

Answer: PMID: 16084055 PMID: 12801485 Victoria, Pleaase Google "PubMed" and enter the above numbers in the search line. Both these investigators are recognized authorities and both found the arthritis was stopped in its tracks. Yes the studies were not in humans, but the animals tested get arthritis worse than humans, it kills these animals, which is why they are used. Best to you and all Aussies.

Question: hiIhad astrok oneyearago can the emprobe help me get movment back in my arm

Answer: John, While cell studies indicate that should be possible, there are no clinical studies that back that up; they haven't been done. Can;t help you much beyond that except to note that I have two members of my family who experienced strokes who are using it in combination with an active exercise, massage, and swimming program. It may be one of the latter activities that are helping as much as our technology- sadly, no studies yet.

Question: I had my l spine bolted together after fracturing all during a fall from the roof 6 months ago. My massage therapist loaned me one of your units to try. When I get it over my screws and/or rods it feels stingy and 'weird' tingly. Is this normal? Most of my pain lately is from my piraformus muscle and it doesn't feel the same when I put it over there, just when I get over the surgery. Should I avoid that area or just grin and bear it? Thank you! Marian

Answer: Marian, The ZZZING is made up of epicurrents on the surface of the metal (the magnetic field is inducing a current flow which was demonstrated by Faraday around 1840. We've had hundreds of patients note it, and it doesn't hurt a thing, but if the "wierd" bothers you too much, that's your call. I'd guess the results will be better in the midline than in chasing "pyriformis pain", a favorite diagnosis in place of, "be damned if I know where that pain is coming from". Good luck.

Question: I was wondering if the use of your product helps anxiety disorders (such as OCD or social anxiety) or adrenal fatigue. Where would the device be applied for those illnesses? Thank you,

Answer: Linda, I have no experience nor is there any literature to support using EMpulse or similar technology in treating these disorders.

Question: I play high school basketball and recently (about 4 days or more) i have had pain in the top of my left foot. There is no swelling or bruises that i can see, however, it hurts when i walk and run. Do you know what may be causing this pain or how I may be able to treat it? Thanks.

Answer: Hi LesleeeNicoleee, Much as I might wish, I can't become your doc, but when I was in sports medicine (20yrs)I'd have bet this could be a footwear issue, IF it isn't a stress fracture of your metatarsal above the little toe. No pain there, don't worry about it. For nuisance pains like this, and severe ones up to fractures, I've never found anything to match four or five 30-45 min treatments with EMpulse. They tested EMpulse in Iraq and they agreed they had seen nothing like it. Last thing, if treatment with EMpulse fails, think about orthotics made by an experienced professional. Good luckeee this year Dr Geee

Question: Due to back surgery I had four years ago I periodically use a TENS unit. I thought it to be the best product on the market until I recently tripped across the "em-probe" website. Could you please explain: 1) the difference between your SOLO and the TENS? 2) How would you recommend keeping the SOLO stabelized in one spot for a long period of time, say if one were to wear it at work or for a long perid of time while driving across country(an Ace bandage)? 3) Does a 9V battery go inside the unit or do you have to use that additional attachment shown on the web site? Does this make it bulky to wear? 4)If I were to order, do I get a manual that might recommend how and where to put the unit under certain conditions? 5) Are there control buttons to adjust the frequency (like the TENS) or is the unit preset?6) Warranty? If one had to have maintenance on your unit is that information readily available in the manual? I'm very interested in your product...but only have had experience with the TENS unit. Eagerly awaiting your reply. Thanks, Becky Lassiter

Answer: Becky, Once knew a very nice gentleman named Lassiter, near Bremerton WA. No comparison with TENS; NASA study and our experience with 4000 low back pain patients indicate EMpulse is incomparably better. It can be held in place with bicycle underwear or tape. 9v is outside and adds little to weight. NO control buttons, it is preset. There is a manual, always wish it was perfect for every application, but never is. We've yet to have a warranty complaint; we take care of our own in terms of product and the people that use it. Good health.

Question: I am curious if the EM Probe can be used on top of your head, side of face and mouth by stroke victims.

Answer: John, Wish I could tell you of the people reporting success following stroke, but FDA regs direct I cannot, and that you must discuss that with your doc, who I'll bet knows nothing about it.

Question: hi i recently asked about this device in relation to a delayed tibial union. i was wondering how often you think i should be treating it. should i just use the 3x for 45min a day or as much as possible.even if you can just give me a general idea i would very much appreciate it. thank you again.your first answer was informative.

Answer: Justin, Probably a question best asked of your personal doctor. In case he doesn't have experience with nanosecond PEMF, which most orthopedists do not, I'd suggest for your joint review that the device can safely be applied to the surface of any covering including a cast and be used non-stop. We have study evidence you can also turn it on for 30 mins every four hours while awake if you wish. Since our stimulus lasts beyond four hours after 30 mins use, (and we haven't tested it further). Clinically, I have observed excellent clinical results with fractures with having used the device three times a day for 45 mins. Sorry I couldn't be more precise. Discuss your options with your doc and have him call if he wishes to discuss it with me. Good luck and good union.

Question: My mom had bunion surgery on her right foot in 2004 and the doctor put metal screws in her foot. In 2005 she got the same surgery on her left foot with metal screws in her foot, she has some pain in her feet, and her leg swoll up sometimes. How long does it take to recover from the surgery?

Answer: A common experience after bunionectomy. You should ask your caregiver that question. Our EMpulse is approved for pain relief such as this and the metal screws do not create a problem. Just received an email last week from a fellow who had club foot surgery 50 yrs ago and experienced excellent pain relief with EMpulse.

Question: hi-i would like to know of any info you could give me on using your product on a delayed tibial union. i know this type of device has already been applied to this type of injury as treatment for yrs but, i am wondering if weight bearing is an issue.

Answer: Justin, A good question to ask your doctor as some of us believe tapping the extremity frequently throughout the day is good therapy, while others don't believe it works. You are correct in using technology similar to ours to heal non-unions. Our studies indicate none do it better than EMpulse because it is a million times faster than currently marketed bone stimulation devices,AND it is much easier to apply and use.

Question: My mother in law has been prescribed chemotherapy tablets once a week for her rhumetoid arthritis and is experiencing direah and vomiting. Is this a valid use for this drug?

Answer: Gary, That is a question for the doctor that prescribed the drug. Our technology has been demonstrated helpful in relieving RA joint pain in 60% of RA patients in published studies. That's not earth shaking results, but our technology has no side effects according to W.H.O. publications.

Question: I have suffered from equilibruim problems including imbalance, dizziness & vertigo for 40 years due to severe allergies. I have been told it's called Endolymphatic Hydrops..the inner & middle ear swelling & imbalance of fluids. Allergy treatments have helped some but can't take medications except Medrol 13 mg. which helps & keeps me functioning..when I try to reduce the Medrol the ears stop up (like in an airplane) & I can't function due to the dizziness. There is tinnitus too.I am told the balance nerve is damaged. Have there been any studies on these problems & is it safe to use on ears? Thank you so much for helping. I've explored every medical possibility thru the years but so far to no avail..it's very debilitating..I haven't been able to drive for 6 years & it's miserable to feel so bad.

Answer: Judy, Few studies, especially in US. Had a couple of Navy ENT docs very interested for a while, but nothing went forward to a study. Some successes reported in Europe. Cortisone definitely reduces the efficacy of our technology as it masks cell function critical to our technology. Tinnitus is a free radical mediated disorder, you would need your doctors oversight to use the device. You can purchase it as you wish, and there is a money back guarantee if it doesn't work. Talk to your doc first. If he won't hear of it, talk to another that will. As Ralph Edwards used to say, "this is your life".

Question: would this product work overseas, Germany?

Answer: By using a commonly available adapter/convertor our technology is functional in any country. Virtually all countries have these available for use with US products

Question: Hello, I am interested in your EmPulse and would like to know how nanosecond pulsed electromagnetic field treatment compares to microcurrent, with which I have had mixed success, some excellent, some null. Thank you.

Answer: I'm not sure I understand what you are referring to as "microcurrent" treatment. Suffice it to say that NASA scientists assayed all forms of electric and EM devices alleged to restore tissues after injury and found nanosecond PEMF up to four times better than any other devices they reviewed in a four year study; that allows a lot of review.

Question: Hello, I would like to know what the biggest difference is between the solo and the trilogy and which device to use for what type of injury. Regards Kornelius

Answer: Kornelius, Only difference is the SOLO doesn't contain the heating circuit; everything else is the same. SOLO operates on a 9v battery for 50 hrs, the heating circuit in TRILOGY draws down a 9v in 5-10. If you want portability get SOLO; if you want to sit in a chair and enjoy a little heat get TRILOGY as it is practical only when powered with the transformer.

Question: Where do i find technical information on the EMpulse?

Answer: Some of it is intellectual property, and not available. I can tell you the frequency is 72 Hz after testing hundreds of other frequencies, the field strength is 1.4 gauss, ~2x that of the earth's static field, rise time is 8-10 nanoseconds, the fastest in the world, which we sought for the Fourier transients that allowed, and pulse duration is ~200 nanoseconds. These characteristics are sufficiently different from any other EM device that USPTO issued a patent for our design, thus we hold the only nanosecond patent in the world. Papimi, which costs $40,000 notes theirs is nanosecond; they offer no guarantee so you'd need a lot of spare change if it didn't work, that's a lot of spare change even if it does.

Question: P.S. I see that there are batteries, and plugs and things that go along with the device. Exactly what will I need? I hear reports that we are bombarded by ELF's, extra low frequencies, and that these tend to weaken us and make us sick. Don't know if you spoke about that... can you tell me the difference in your frequency, since we are to leave it on for such a prolonged time.... Thank you...

Answer: Suzanne, Call the 1-888 number to discuss your options. We live in a sea of EMFs, many of which are of little benefit, at best. Designed electromagnetic pulsed therapy (DEPTH) is my word for therapeutic application, and calls for experience, understanding, and planning. There is some benefit in being a "senior spokesman" for this technology; that is heavy on senior.

Question: Dear Dr Gordon, I just watched your new video and you touched on all my sore spots. My queston is once the arthritic tendency is addressed and changes occur for the better, do I still treat that area while I move on to the other areas? Do you find the situation gets corrected and not have to be addressed everyday? Thank you, we do need this....

Answer: Suzanne, Sorry about all the sore spots; maybe I'll have better luck next time. Most people treat as needed once they have the acute pain eliminated. Not uncommon for folks to stop using EMpulse except in flare-ups induced by excessive gardening or other such activity.

Question: Hello sir, could you tell me how your machine could help someone suffering from cystic fibrosis ? Thankyou.

Answer: Geoffrey, Sorry that I overlooked your question. Not much evidence it does since its use has never been studied in CF that I know of.

Question: I have purchased a unit for my 78 year old father who has stage IV non-small cell lung cancer currently under chemotherapy treatments. My thoughts are that by increasing antioxidant production in his lung areas that it will assist the chemo in fighting the free radicals raging in his body. This is a wild card for him I realize, but not seeing any information on the treatment of cancer in your site, just wanted to see if there are any studies in this regard. Comments?

Answer: Frederick, That is an intuitive wild card as there have been few to no in vivo studies, especially involving small cell CA of the lung. That is one tough disease, good luck.

Question: I have had Deep Brain Stimulatiom Surgery to lesson a number of the symptoms of the Parkinson's Diseae that I was diagosed with in 1997. It has worked quite well and has vitually eliminared my tremor and freezing problems. tne neuro trnsmitter can be turned on or off st will. Could you device ve used if the imolanted neuro transmitter was turned uff??

Answer: Anthony, Happy to hear of your success. I wouldn't recommend use of our technology for a second without the expressed interest and oversight of your doctor. Based on what I have seen of DBS, I would recommend use of our technology BEFORE the procedure, with physician oversight.

Question: I have suffered from Rheumatoid arthritis for a number of years taking various medication including Sulphur Salazine,Naproxen and prednisolone10mm per day. Would your machine be of benefit to me

Answer: Mike, Some medications interfere with our technology, none more than cortisone derivatives. You might try it, then take advantage of the Money Back guarantee if EMpulse doesn't work.

Question: Do you have any experience with using the em-probe for glaucoma? Any exprience with prostate cancer?

Answer: Dear Jay, Sorry, I am unaware of any studies nor do I have personal experience in treating either condition.

Question: hi Doctor Gordon, i was wondering if the EMpulse device is safe if used over the eyes, not necessarily open, closed

Answer: Hello Steven, This technology is used in several European countries to treat eye problems including macular degeneration, BUT we are not allowed to recommend its use over persons eyes in the United States. This would be an "off label" use and would require a licensed provider to supervise your use for any eye problems.

Question: dear Dr Gordon ,for the last 2 years i have suffered from a varied number of symptoms from buzzing feelings in feet to pins and needles in feet and hands. ive also had strange sensation running down my spine when i put my head down to my chest. i feel tired and dizzy a lot and also very queezy. at the moment i feel dizzy and my vision is blurred and i also have pain at the back of my left knee and at the front of my arms at elbow joint area. mri scan came back normal. any ideas to what else this could be if its not ms ?

Answer: Dear Joanne, Don't have a clue! MS sounds like a possibility, but you'd be a very foolish lady to listen to me with the little knowledge I have about you a continent away.

Question: I red that EMpulse neutralize free radicals. Can I use EMpulse on my body even though I don't have pain?

Answer: Dear Ross, A highly intuitive question that drives much of my personal use of the device, BUT that has not been proven in studies as of yet. Stay tuned.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, Will anything happen to me if I use this too much ?

Answer: Dear Flossie, No evidence one can. World Health Organization surveyed scientists and doctors around the world, and concluded "no adverse side effects".

Question: Dr. Gordon, We met at the Future Energy Conference last weekend. Not certain if you will know who I am other than I was at the conference with Ken Dabkowski and I used to work at the Arlington Institute with him. I am interested in learning more about your new device (the one you showed and said it would cost about $1500). Ken mentioned that the new device was so much more powerful than the EMProbe (which I ordered from Tom and Jackie). All that is leading up to my questions about the new device. My 2 parents are in their 80s with normal aches and pains, but some bad arthritis and rhumetism. I have a diagnosis of spinal stenosis. All this leads to a general question hopefully rather than a medical one. Do y ou think the new device is better to handle some major issues than the EMProbe? I intend to use the EMProbe on myself and then my parents (unfortunately we are separated by 150 miles). The simple fact is I could purchase another EMProbe for their use. Sorry to drag on like this. I enjoyed your lecture and speaking with you outside the sessions. Best of success in all your endeavors. I would like to help the cause in any way I can. Please let me know if there is any way to do so. Sincerely, Ed Weklar 2001 15th St. North #906, Arlington, VA 22201 eweklar@comcast.net

Answer: Dear Ed, I apologize for my tardiness. The EMpulse PAD is not more powerful (more is not better in electron systems), but appears substantially more efficacious, IF that makes sense. I think the devil is in the design, which provides for self-directed movement of the field. When the EMpulse SOLO/TRILOGY are moved back and forth, they are highly effective, but none of us are good at keeping them moving back and forth. In spite of the expense, we moved ahead to desing the PAD as a solution to the problem, which gives the effect of being "much stronger", a term that gives me a bit of a shudder. This technology has been most studied, and found to be highly effective, in arthritic pain and loss of function. The VA, particularly in Atlanta, is very interested in our technology. Any help you can be will be deeply appreciated.

Question: Will this device help with TMJ and where should it be placed? When I place it on my jaw I feel some tingling is this normal?

Answer: It is essential one work with their dentist or oral surgeon on this problem as it can arise from ganglia adjacent to the spine as well as from the TMJ. It's placement is determined by the inciting location. Tingling is unusual, but of doubtful import. We usually don't expect to hear people report that, but have heard it over the years.

Question: For the last year or two I've been making fruit smoothies at my kitchen counter using a cheap blender. In December 2005 I was diagnosed with a low-grade bladder tumor. Is it possible that the elontronic frequency which my lower torso has been exposed to on a daily basis coul have anything to do with malignant cells?

Answer: That is a fair question that I have no information with which to assist you. Good luck on your search.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, I am a 67 y. o. woman just diagnosed with osteopenia at the femural neck, I've never broken a bone nor have any of my family, most of whom lived well into their ninties. I do not want to be the first. Is the EMT machine indicated and might it help me build bone? The dexa scan does not give info about the integrity of the bone so who knows what it all means. I take good care of myself and read what I can to maintain a healthy life style. I have the light beam generator machine for the lymph system but I don't think it builds bone. Also I heard about a machine that is being built in Ireland to be sold for the treatment of osteoporosis as it stimulates the muscles at a high rate of speed, It is not FDA approved and will be very expensive. If the EMT machine suffices for the same purpose, it's a better deal. I don't think that the EMT machine would emit the same electromagnetic fields as in high tension towers. Am I right? Thanks for your time. J Fenton

Answer: We are not authorized to claim efficacy in osteoporosis by FDA. That is an off label application that you should discuss with your doctor or therapist, who likely know less of this technology than you. We do not emit anywhere near the field strength of power lines

Question: Hello Dr. Gordon, I'm so glad a friend sent me the info about the upcoming conference which had the statement that you had cured yourself of congestive heart failure. My husband Jim has been diagnosed with CHF as well. I wanted to read how you used the EMProbe to cure that, but could not find your story on the website. He is still quite active, works out, takes bicycle rides and golfs, but is having to take Lasix for the accumulation of water. Is there something better he can do? Could you send us your account of what you did so we can see how we can use the device to help Jim's condition? Many Thanks, Janet Lee Meisinger

Answer: Hello Janet, Since using our technology for heart problems is considered an "off label" application you must have a licensed provider supervise the use for that condition. That is FDAs official position, and my strong feeling as well. I actually went to my cardiologist to discuss my use with him, and was amazed to hear he had seen similar technology used in the Soviet Union (1972)with "impressive" results "if they were telling us the truth". Could you imagine scientists lying about something like that? Best way to see if it helps Jim is discuss it with your provider. If you feel you can't, it may be time to find another provider.

Question: Is there anything that you can tell me that will help with carpeltunnel other then an operation?

Answer: Dear Gert, I love questions such as yours because of the success we have had in the past with CPT. Having said that, you are an individual, each having different circumstances that create their problem. That is why we have a money back guarantee. Good luck, fashion a small sleeve, and slip the device inside it as you work and sleep.

Question: Dear Dr Gordon, My friends, Lani/Lee Gerrish have told me of your emt procedure. I get a woman's healthnews letter which I also read of this procedure by Robert Becker. My husband & I have bad knees which I believe, after reading Q&A's, EMT would help. But, my main problem is hiatal hernia--not so much the reflux, but chest pains. I recently went to Dr. thinking I was having heart problems & got a clean bill of health there. My chest pain runs through to my back, neck and down my arm. Would EMT help this. I DO NOT want to have surgery.

Answer: Marilyn, We have had reports of success with hiatal hernia, but not in such large numbers I can say "yes" for certain. Talk to your doctor, advise you'd like to try it, no side effects, and see if he agrees. We have much more information on helping bad knees.

Question: Hi Dr Gordon, I have been ill with a variety of symptoms over the past year and a half. The whole story is quite long, but I strongly believe I have a stubborn fungal infection of my stomach. Whenever I use antifungals, the effect that it has seems to plateau. I've been looking into PEMF research and I see lots of studies on microorganisms being killed by high voltage PEMF. Is the EMpulse effective for destroying microbes? Where can I find all the specifications on this device? Thanks

Answer: No studies on fungi anywhere in the world that I know of. Wish I could be of more help.

Question: I smashed my femure and had 3 operations on it they installed a rod from some bone left at my knee and attached the rod into my hip.i swell all the time .i am always in pain and have a hard time walking . what can i do?? andy

Answer: Andrew, Check with your doctor. He should be familiar with the use of PEMF to heal bone and can be assured by our FDA approval for pain relief in conjunction with that effort.

Question: Hi, I am interested in your device for my wife with Optic Neuritis that has not cleared up for several months. I read that treatment is by leaving device near temples. Do we need two devices - one for each temple as I imagine this would save time. Can we sleep with the device on? I have read that some people do this.

Answer: Kenji, Used widely throughout Central Europe for this problem, FDA has not approved ours or others for use in US. Talk to your doctor about "off label" use. He can advise on best place to locate it.

Question: My mother aged 47 years, has severe hypertension (200/120 mm of Hg) due to chronic renal failure . Renal failure is due to blockage developments in renal artery and kidneys. Can blockages get removed by using EM pulse? She has also developed Gall bladder stones , does your device help to melt all those stones ?

Answer: Ankur, Can't be of any help at all with this one. Neither of these conditions holds any promise of responding to our technology.

Question: Magnetic stimulation of brain aids stroke recovery Aug 01 (Reuters Health) - Strong magnetic fields applied to the head can help stroke patients whose movements are impaired, researchers report. The procedure is called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, or rTMS, and is applied on the side opposite the area of the brain affected by the stroke. "Cortical stimulation is a therapy that might help stroke recovery and therefore should be further explored in larger studies," Dr. Felipe Fregni from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, told Reuters Health. As reported in the medical journal Stroke, Fregni and colleagues studied how well repeated consecutive sessions of low-frequency rTMS worked in 15 patients who had a stroke more than a year previously and were left with mild-to-moderate movement deficits. After five days, motor function improved significantly in the ten patients treated with rTMS, the team reports, compared with the five patients treated with sham rTMS. The improvements in motor function persisted for two weeks after treatment, the results indicate. Magnetic stimulation was not associated with mental changes, and patients tolerated the treatment well. Fregni is currently "planning a study to evaluate whether rTMS would have similar beneficial effects in patients with severe motor deficits," as well as another study to evaluate the effects of rTMS combined with physical therapy. SOURCE: Stroke, August 2006. Publish Date: August 01, 2006

Answer: James, This is rTMS, a form of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy that uses disturbingly strong fields when much lower dose fields have shown equally good outcomes (Grant,Cadosi, Steinberg, Bioelectromagnetics 1994.

Question: I live in Uk - would your unit work on our 24ov electricity supply? I have a dog (11.5year old minature poodle) with a gall bladder problem (ultra sound scanb yesterday showed stripes on it & suggested flushing it or removal), he also has the first signs of a heart murmer on 1 side, 1 enlarged adrenal gland, a large stone in his bladder, has previously had 2 cruciate ligament operations & has arthritic knees now. Would this devise help (I assume the one without the heat would be easier to use on him with no risks of burning) - how would you suggest using it?

Answer: Valerie, Sorry for the delayed answer. I've been speaking around the country. We can probably help the arthritic knees and maybe help the pain assoc with the others. Niether should present burn problems so long as the surface is dry.

Question: DR. Gordon - I work at Lockheed Martin in Marietta GA and a friend from work gave me your information. He told me that before I have half of my thyroid removed I should go to you first. I have 2 large goiters on the right side of my thyriod and they are growing. I'm scheduled to have the right side removed towards the end of the year. My question is - Can the em-pulse shrink the goiters? 770-494-9994 or e-mail Thanks so much, Veronica

Answer: Veronica, I would think no chance of helping that is likely, certainly no studies indicating that. Our technology will help minimize scar and improve the incisional healing rate after surgery. Check with your doc as this is "off label" use.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, I have cardiac disease, and had a quadruple bypass 12 years ago, and 6 years ago I had 2 cardiac stents and although I do not have a pacemaker, I was wondering what the effects of the em-probe on my heart would be.... The reason I would like to try an em-probe is for an old knee injury which is extremely painful. Thank You, Lee Gerrish 360-582-0888 312 Madrona Way (Diamond Pt.) Sequim, WA 98382

Answer: Lee, We lived in Gardner for 10 years, may have met. Our device is as good as it gets for arthritis. Use it daily for a month, and if doesn't help send it back. As for your heart, you probably heard my story of being told I needed a heart transplant and six months later completing a solo bicycle ride across the United States. That doesn't mean a thing to you, so get your cardiologist on board and with his help you might try it.

Question: Hi, Some days ago I ordered the SOTA Magnetic Pulser (MPG5) recommended by Bob Beck. Then I happened to stumble into your webpage today, and began wondering if I bought the wrong unit. Could you please tell me how your unit differs from this one? Do they operate according to the same principles? Which device will be the most effective? Best regards, Geir Thore Berge

Answer: Hello Geir, That's a good name, but we are about to publish a study I did with Dr Reba Goodman of Columbia Univ where we compared our advanced nanosecond EMpulse against the largest selling millisecond device in the world and we spanked it badly. Unless your unit is nanosecond speed, and I doubt that as we hold the only patent beside NASA on the technology, I'm afraid your assessment may be correct. I don't know the MPG5, nor do I know Mr Beck or his scientific credentials.

Question: I have an eight year old daughter at birth we were told that she had a slight nerve damage that will heal on it s own. Just recently we were told that she had erb's palsy is there anything that can be done to help her at this age?

Answer: I'm sorry to hear of your daughter's unfortunate birth experience. This will require oversight with your physician advising where best to treat etc if you elect to try our technology. The NASA study plus work by Betty Siskin PhD (can probably google her) demonstrate nerve growth, but this is very late and would take daily 15 min treatments at least 3 times per day, probably for several months to hope for any effect. It's a 50/50 proposition this late in the injury.

Question: Could you please let me know if anyone has treated birds - The Wild Bird Center takes in many hurt birds of all sizes. Also I would like to know if you have any experience with Scleraderma using this EM pulse. Thank you.

Answer: We actually sold a veterinarian use model for a few years, but abandoned that as EMpulse SOLO is similar. If trauma, infection, or inflammation is the issue, I'm confident it would help. We had some remarkable recoveries involving dogs hit by autos reported to us. Scleroderma use is not reported nor do I have personal experience in treating it. With the money back guarantee, I'd think it worth a try.

Question: Dr. Gordon I HAD 3 OPERATIONS WHEN I SMASHED MY FEMURE! THEY INSTALLED A ROD FROM MY BONE THAT WAS LEFT AT THE KNEE TO WHERE MY HIP WAS. WHERE THE BONE WAS LEFT AT THE KNEE THERE IS A PLATE WITH 4 SCREWS ON EITHER SIDE. MY LEG SWELLS ALL THE TIME AND IS VERRY PAINFULL. COULD YOU GIVE ME SOME ADVICE. THANKS---ANDY

Answer: Dear Andy, FDA has given us permission to advertise adjunctive use in pain relief and I know of women who use it for painful, swollen arms following breast cancer surgery. Advice is the practice of medicine, with which I would disserve you, knowing as little as I do of your injury, surgeries etc. Speak with your doctor about using our technology to enhance the effect of pain medication, and to relieve pain in its own right. The articles are in the Nat'l.Lib of Med. where he can access them.

Question: My wife suffers from fibromyalgia - could this be used for her back / shoulder pains?

Answer: Studies are inconclusive in showing good results and others none. It has been the same in my personal experience. This is one of those places you can try it and return it if EMpulse doesn't work.

Question: Is EmPulse any good for treating bronchial Asthma?

Answer: Hi Richard, Not many studies on that, but we have several satisfied adult users. Children are just too explosive in terms of severity to suggest their using it. Talk to your doctor and let us know. Our technology is demonstrated to increase Nitric Oxide which relaxes the smooth muscle in the bronchi.

Question: Respected sir, I have a keloid on my chest and on my hand.My father also have a keloid on their hand.I am very depressed by the rapid increasing of keloid on my chest.can i get problem for marriage. My sister have a keloid.I am a m.c.a student. How the keloid will be removed from my body. Please help me.

Answer: We have several patients who have noted success with similar problems. Keloid is an inflammatory healing response driven by lack of oxygen to the wound site. We can assist that through gene up-regulation and vascular support.

Question: Is there a health institution where I can access EM therapy (I am in Palm Beach County, Florida)for my acute osteoarthritist of knee condition? I am willing to travel to another state. Or, is the EMpulse machine enough?

Answer: Dear Donna, We have many people who fail "rooster juice" as the lubricant is spoken of, but find our EMpulse technology very helpful in lieu of that. We have a money back guarantee which will provide plenty of time for you to decide if our technology works for you. I can almost assure you that lubricant injection will not and are very costly.

Question: Would the EMpulse be of benefit in assisting a heart valve that is not properly aligned to realign itself? (reffered to as Ebsteins Anomoly) Thank You

Answer: Dear Josh, I don't feel there is a chance that vould be a remote possibility. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Question: I purchased Empulse from you within the past two months. I used it on my low back pain . I have 2 herniated discs. Within a few days , I no longer had any back pain .I still need to use it periodically as the ache returns in my low back , but once I use it, it heals. My question is about another situation. I had open heart surgury due to Cardiomyopathy and the surgeon had to replace my mitral valve. I now have a Bovine valve. The surgeon also had to thin part of the septum . The surgury was successful am I recovered rapidly. I will always have a muscular heart .I am wondering if you feel that Em-pulse can in any way help me.Are free radicals within the heart? All that I have read indicates that ther will be only benefits from the use of this. How long per day could I use it ? Looking forward to response from you. Thank you very much. Truly , Lavonne Vella

Answer: The Russians report excellent results with cardiomyopathy but no studies here. You need to be under the care of a cardiologist or other licensed provider before using any technology in such an "off label" application.

Question: can i use your product on a "plastic face" after brain tumor surgery (non cansorus)?

Answer: Janice, The question is too generic to answer. Is it for pain relief, to seat the prosthesis, or ? You most assuredly would want your operating surgeon on board since this is facial and not a "labeled" use.

Question: Dear Dr. Does your device help with Blount's Disease?

Answer: Dear Ed, No studies and no personal experience. This is one for you and your cardiologist. Good luck

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon,I have high blood pressure. Is it OK to leave EM Probe on my heart for few hours during the night when I sleep

Answer: The Russians and Soviets before them treated high BP with pulsed magnetic fields, but they are the only studies and we have no experience with our technology. I can tell you that I have not found it useful for treating my high blood pressure in having used it several years to treat ischemic heart disease. Further, I do not believe the Soviets and now Russians use it over the heart, but rather in the neck somewhere.

Question: Will the probe help rheumatoid arthritis? I have a great deal of pain and some of my joints are have been affected. Thank you.

Answer: Joanne, In studies it appears 50-60% of patients with RA achieve significant pain relief with PEMF technology similar to EMpulse. We don't have a lot of experience with this RA, but you should know if it will be helpful within the 30 day money back guarantee window

Question: I had ACL Surgery 8 months ago. I recieved a Cadaver tendon. The Doctor let me light jog 4 months after because of a fast recovery. I have been running a lot in the past few weeks and after my work out, the area around the long scar throbs and swells. I have no swelling above the knee. I was wondering if this was normal? or if I have too much scar tissue or something?

Answer: Dear Kelly, I would expect EMpulse to help your pain; the inflammation will subside more rapidly and completely if you use EMpulse immediately after exercise. Don't be afraid to use it again later in the day. I have seen scar tissue mitigated by this technology with improvement in function over time. Discuss this with your doctor and best of luck with your future athletic participation

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, Thank you for your great work on the EMpulse! I wonder if it can be applied to the treatment of toothache as well? Thanks and Regards,

Answer: Dear Lorna, Sometimes; if you have a root canal full of pus we can't help that, but if it is an inflamed gum margin or periodontal tissue we can. In fact, PEMF fields similar to those we project have been found quite helpful in stomatitis and gum disease.

Question: Dr Gordon I am interested on the EM Pulse. I would like to know if this will enhance my massage practice and would it be advised to just try it for my own personal use first. I have cervical spine damage neck pain and tingling in the hands periodically. Is there any training that you would recommend that look into before I use it in my practice or indorse it.

Answer: Dear Traci, We have more than two dozen LMTs using our technology and recommending it to patients they treat. We always recommend starting treatment of the spine in the midline, find the inflamed area causing the pain and concentrate on that. It does little good to chase the symptom of pain in the arm. Be certain your hands aren't carpal tunnel, although our technology is helpful there as reported by users and in our experience, depending on the duration of the problem. Hope that helps

Question: The brochure that came with the EMpulse mentions a user's guide. Should one have come with the product. If so how do I obtain it. More importantly, can the EMpulse be used effectively on hemorrhoids? Thank you.

Answer: If hemorrhoids are painful and inflammed it has been reported to us that EMpulse is helpful. No literature to support that specific use. Make sure you check with your doctor on that and other means he suggests.

Question: DR. Gordon I'm sorry I missed you on your visit here to atlanta. I had hip replacement surgery three weeks ago and have been using my device everyday . I started using it the day after surgery and now three weeks later I'm back lifting and plan on playing basketball in four more weeks. take care it is great to see that you have brought this divice to the american public. Thomas McCants P.S I'm not that old

Answer: Always a pleasure Thomas. Competing at the level you did in high jump (American record holder for aome time), I wonder if the lift offs contributed to the problem.

Question: Dear Dr. Grodon, Do you think that my dry eye condition can be treated with your device ? Best regards, Vladimir

Answer: We have one user who reports success, but I haven't treated my own dry eye syndrome with EMpulse. You need to check that out with your doctor, Vladimir. Hope that helps,

Question: hello, thank you for taking time to answer my questions. do you have available for clinical use a configuration of a number of your inventions to treat and provide broader coverage, as set out in your patented information? also, nasa's experiment shows that changing the frequencies regularly gives better results. does your device give us this option, and if not, does this mean that even a more effective treatment could be gained by frequency changes?

Answer: The advantage of changing frequency has not been established in any studies on frequencies ranging between 15-75 Hz. I studied Hz in the 200-400 range early and found them not as effective as 72 to relieve pain. We are working on larger arrays, but they pose significant technical problems at nanosecond speed. Hope that helps.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, I have a patient who had a Harrington Rod implant and spinal fusion approx. 30 years ago for scoliosis. Her scoliosis is now getting worse again at the top of the rod and above the rod. Have you had any experience that indicates the EM Probe might help halt or correct this progressive condition. Thank you so much.

Answer: Dear Aaron, From the sounds of your letter I presume you are a physician or healthcare provider, and thus aware of older technology use and FDA approval for enhancing spinal fusions, osteonecrosis repair, and non-unions. Having said that I would consider our technology for pain relief in this patient and hope for a secondary result that may help avoid further surgery. No studies exist on using our technology as specific treatment for this problem. Hope that helps.

Question: hello, i am an osteopath i have ordered your device and i also wish to become a reseller but as yet have not been able to get through to your email address. i am also requiring information re pemf therapy devices that can relax a muscle in a couple of minutes. i know this is possible as i have checked the efficiency and speed of this type of treatments at a local clinic. how do i go about making or obtaining equipment that works at that speed? would you know what mechanism makes a similar apparatus deliver treatment at a shorter time (3-5 min instead of 30 min)? p.s. it appeared that apparatus used at the local clinic was fairly large. also, does the Heal-em product you use for animals work faster?

Answer: Dear Kevin, I have just returned from addressing an international meeting of senior military medical leaders and apologize for my tardy response. If this is a truly huge floor model device it may be Diapulse which is 1000 times slower than our pulse but relatively effective over even slower devices that populate the market. We have seen results in a few minutes but prefer to take a more conservative approach with 30 minute sessions. Heal-EM is the same technology in a different presentation case, a suggestion of a marketing "guru" we contacted a few years back.

Question: I just sprained my ankle while jogging and got a lot of swelling. Will this help, and what are your suggested applications, 3 times a day for 30 minutes over swollen area? Thank you.

Answer: We usually suggest placement of the device over the injury area for 8-12 hours (overnight) as early after injury as possible. Healing and pain relief can be dramatic, but persevere even if you are beyond the early hours and you should do well.

Question: My daughter was born at over 10 lbs (she's 12 now) and she had some nerves stretched in her neck/shoulder. Her right arm/shoulder has limited mobility. The doctors we've seen call it erbs palsy. Would your device help to regain normal use of her arm/shoulder.

Answer: Dear Bret, No studies to indicate we can but under the direction of your physician you could expect to see results within the 30 day guarantee period; not cure, but some indicator of what the long term might hold.

Question: Hello Doctor, I heard about you and your fabulous device from Jonathan Kolber of the The Emerging Capital Report fame of which I am a subscriber. I have a quick question. I have lower abdominal pain and the doctor disagnosed this as weaknesss which may eventually lead to hernia. Also in the last one year I have had severe back pains. After talking with a PT, I learnt that I have flat feet which may be causing back pain and could also be the cause of weakness. Do you think EM Pulse could help? AMI

Answer: Anand, Not much to offer on the hernia or flat feet problem but low back pain is within our FDA permission to treat joint pain, and we have substantial experience in successfully doing that.

Question: Can this device help in case of enlarged prostate leading to urinary difficulties? Any experiences in htat field?

Answer: Guillermo, A recent study on chronic pelvic pain in males specifically mentioned chronic prostatitis as being effectively treated. Get your urologist on board first and you should know if EMpulse works within the guarantee period.

Question: Dearf Dr. Grodon: Rosacea is now understood to be a disease of (in part) inflammation. Could the EM-Probe treat inflammation of the face?

Answer: Dear William, I have no experience nor has the literature reported success in this condition, but your logic is pretty solid. Get your doctor on board and you may wish to try EMpulse. I would expect results indicating success or failure within the 30 day guarantee.

Question: Dr. Gordon, My cousin has MS. Do you have any knowledge as to whether this technology can be beneficial for that? Also, my brother has pain and neuropathy in his feet due to nerve damage after an auto accident. Would the EM probe help with this. Thank you.

Answer: Dear Sandra, We have a number of MS users and the Umiv of WA did a double blind study that saw statistical significance in several outcomes. Please contact us directly for further information. Diabetic neuropathy has been successfully treated, but we nor the literature have noted treatment of post-traumatic neuropathy. We have treated a number of post-low back injury cases of sciatica with reasonable success, perhaps a closer model to your brother than diabetic neuropathy.

Question: Dr. Docter, My father has a pace maker but also has lower back pain. Is the probe safe for him to use? Thanks

Answer: Dear Jan, Not over the pacemaker; should be safely used in low back pain. Best regards,

Question: Dear Doctor, my injury ocurred in my 40's when i was lifting weights behind my head while sitting. my right arm onthe side between the bicep and tricep. dull and sharp pain for many years , and i had nothing done. in the last maby 10 yrs and i am 63 now, i have brusitis in that shoulder and a syst right where the injury ocurred. the is larger and smaller at any given time and i noticed that if i pushed on my bicep that it used to get smaller.and come back later larger... Now for the last 5 days in this general area i have had excrutiating pain and wontered if you might know what is going on ? Thanks in advance. John

Answer: Dear John, Sorry to get back so late; I am wringing out glitches in a new computer. Let me recommend that you contact a physician with these questions; although I am a doctor I cannot practice medicine over this forum. Generally, EMpulse has been approved for use in muscle and joint pain relief, but your problem sounds rather complex and in need of serious review by a professional. I'd recommend someone in sports medicine

Question: Hello, Please advise what is the difference of the more expensive ones promoted elsewhere on the internet and your cheaper models in terms of therapuetic value and time required per use/application?

Answer: Kevin, That is a question you have to ask them. We started EM-PROBE to make an advanced healing technology affordable to persons needing help with pain relief and healing. We have analyzed devices selling at $4000 and found them to contain $20 worth of electronic parts and producing a pulse far less bioeffective than ours. You know, it's all a matter of priorities, service to mankind or profit Hope that helps,

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, We have corresponded regarding my purchase of the device and my daughter's condition and surgery. I just wanted you and others to know how effective/important I feel your device has been in her recovery. We used it many times a day following her ACL replacement surgery. It reduced her pain level so that in less than two days she did not need the pain meds any longer. The swelling was VERY minimal, I attribute this directly to the use of the EM Probe along with body brushing and massage. At approx. 11 weeks out she is so far ahead of recovery schedule they are having to find ways to hold her back! Her PT said this was by far the fastest he had ever seen anyone recover from this type of surgery. We hope she will be playing volleyball again in March. She feels she can play now of course. We'll let you know which college she accepts an offer from! We would like to know how long much longer and how frequently you recommend she continue to use the Probe? Currently we are having a problem with the device (I am contacting Derek so I'm sure it will be resolved)so she hasn't been able to use it effectivly and has gotten lazy about it. I know the 9 week time is the weakest for the graft, so we are past that now. Thanks agin for you support thru this experience. Everyone in the family uses the device for any variety of pains or injury--we LOVE it! Worth every penny and much more. Sincerely. VL

Answer: Dear Virginia, It always makes my day to hear of success such as yours. I have seen it so many times over the last 20 years in healthy young athletes such as your daughter, but each time is a wonder and a thrill. Imagine what this could do for every surgical procedure done in America today...every injury...every inflammatory or traumatic problem! Thank you for your response.

Question: Dear Dr Gordon, I am on a wild goose chase...66 y.o. female, osteo-condroitis dissecans of talus.....ortho surgeon cant help due surrounding bones OA...woudl your unit help me? I am below poverty level senior citizen, Medicare dont give a fig..please tell me honestly as I live alone and dotn want to surrender to a wheelchair. I appreciate your input ASAP. Thank you ..Marra Racz

Answer: Dear Marra, I don't know enough of your case to make a suggestion. If your orthopedic surgeon will send us a prescription pad note explaining your condition and his recommendation you try nanosecond pulsed electromagnetic technology (EMpulse) and you can send verification of your financial status from a local or state agency we do have a policy allowing us to provide your device at a reduced price. If you need help please call Derek at 1-888-697-9996

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon, The em probe has been some of the best money I've ever spent, and I've told a number of friends about it, who have had similarly successful results overcoming chronic pain. Particularly, it has virtually cured my Plantar Fascitis (sp?). Now I can walk freely and without limits along the streets of Manhattan, which has always been a fail-safe to clearing my thoughts and reviving my spirit. But I have one dogging ailment, for which I originally sought the probe: my tennis elbow. (I am not a tennis player, but received the injury through repetitive stress, namely a hobby that brought me great pleasure, but since needed to give up.) Before the probe, I went through all the usual treatments (including one cortizone shot). Over my three years with this ailment (I am 55), I have been "healed" two times: once through acupuncture, and once through electromagnitism (a large device owned by my friend, an MD, who was nearly railroaded out of the profession for using it on his patients. (Like you, he had one thing on his mind, healing others.) I suspect that his device was a powerful one, because it virtually put me back in business in eight 45-minute sessions. He's since retired and moved to the UK, bringing the device with him. Yet, rather than to be too longwinded, I have a few questions: 1. Why is my TE so resistant to the probe? (I continue to apply it anyway, and am wearing it right now.) 2. If scar tissue or another malady has been created through my series of cure/reinjury, cure/reinjury, cure/reinjury, must I simply resign myself to a lifetime of pain ? 3. Is the Motrin I'm taking, up to 800 mg a day, in 2-3 timed doses daily, (which is helpful) causing any counter productive effects on the inflammation itself, (addictive response, etc.)? 4. Can you suggest another method of using the probe (placement, times of day) that might result in improvement? I'm very thankful that I am a school teacher and not a carpenter or a ditch digger, yet I find that writing with a pen can worsen the injury, as can working excessively at the keyboard. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm at wit's end with the pain, am too young not to enjoy physical activities, even puttering around the house, and I'm wondering if I'm going to finish out my years with my attention always on my elbow and ways to avoid increased impact on my inevitable pain. I know you're not a miracle worker, (although the probe is!) and TE is a stumper for a lot of physicians, so I ask you in a bit of desperation, but also with much understanding about how perplexing this problem is. Thanks for your time, Doc. And I'll continue to remember you and the probe to everyone who mentions their painful injuries to me. Best, Rob

Answer: Dear Rob, Number two is the big problem in TE thus it will require the assistance of another to allow EMpulse opportunity to help. You should have a massage therapist or physical therapist do deep friction therapy on the TE to get it "hot" and break down the old digested collagen that is setting in there as a block to EMpulse correction of the condition. As soon as they are finished with your session (and you are not going to like it) you need to treat for 30-60 minutes (or overnight as you have been). It helps to ice it to point of numbness before the deep friction therapy. A few times around the block like that and you should see results. Sometimes,. tennis elbow is part of the Lazarus phenomenon, only Christ can raise the dead to life. Let me know how it goes.

Question: AS A THYROID PATIENT AND ONE WITH FIBROMYALGIA, AND CHRONIC FATIGUE..WILL THERE BE ANY CHANGES IN MY CONDITION AND WILL IT AFFECT MY THYROID FUNCTION IN ANY WAY?

Answer: Carol, I am a full replacement hypothyroid patient as a result of accidental radiation exposure and noted no change as I initiated EMpulse. There are virtually no studies on fibromyalgia nor chronic fatigue thus you will want to use EMpulse under a doctor's direction and take advantage of the fact there are no known side effects to its use. plus we will refund your money if results are not what you expect. We try very hard to exceed expectations for EMpulse users or return their money.

Question: Has your device been used in the treatment of Costochondritis and if so, what were the results? Thanks!

Answer: Alan, Allow me to guess that you are a golfer! Actually, our FDA approval is for relief of pain in muscles and joints, and altho a special type, an inflamed costochondral junction (joint) is very much within our treatment approval. Does our device work? In cases like costochondritis we prefer to let EMpulse walk our talk or we'll refund your money. Hope that helps.

Question: I have had two shots for an ingulline neurtitis and the Dr. said that he was only going to give me one because it may work or it may not work. and it has worked this time but i am scared that if i pick up something too heavy that it will start back hurting. The Dr. said that he does not find it in women that much just in men. Just wondering if I start hurting again he said that he was going to send me to a surgan and have them clip that nerve so that it would not hurt anymore. What should I do.

Answer: Unfortunately my telling you what to do would amount to the practice of medicine, which I cannot do. I'd suggest you return to some doctor of your choosing and advise you would like to try a nanosecond pulsed electromagnetic field treatment that you can use at home before you submit to surgery. It is almost always better to try the least invasive treatment first because you can always undergo surgery later if it is not helpful. Inguinal neuritis in a female makes me wonder if you have an upper lumbar back or hip problem?? Hope that helps.

Question: I have lower back pain and severe pain in my right leg from the calf to the ankle in the back of the leg. If I drive in a car and use the gas pedal for any length of time it gets worse. Can I do any thing to releive this problem.

Answer: Arthur, Excuse my tardy reply. Having treated over 2000 patients with LBP referred into the leg I can appreciate your problem. In our experience four out of five LBP patients noted improvement after four consecutive days of treating 30-60 minutes. At home EMpulse can be used much more frequently thus increasing the prospects of a good outcome. Use EMpulse under the direction of your doctor. Have him show you where the center of the problem is located. I would expect in your low back, but that is for him and you to determine as he is your doctor. If it doesn't work for you in the thirty days send it back and we'll refund your money.

Question: Three years ago (at age 67) I was diagnosed and treated with a series of epidural blocks and physical therapy for stenosis in lower spine (L3-5). The treatment provided great relieve, but now I am experiencing increasing pain, again, in the lower back and extremeties. What can the EMProbe offer for such a condition? Iif its use would be effective, is it essential that I find a physican who will work with me in the use of the EMProbe?

Answer: Dr Nelson, Your pain is a reflection of progressive arthritic changes occurring in the spine, and our device is FDA approved to treat arthritic pain. Beyond that, many of our most satisfied users are low back pain patients able to stop using drugs and resume more normal activities. We always recommend you use EMpulse in cooperation with provider supervision, which depending on the state, may not need be a physician. As we tell everyone there is a 30 day guarantee; plenty of time to tell if EMpulse will work if used daily. Email us if you have any questions after it arrives.

Question: Hell doctor, I have been running for about 8 years now so I have had a base built up but recently I started to get a pain about an inch and a half above my ankle on the outside of my leg. It feels like muscle injury to me but dont know what to do to treatr it....any suggestions? thank you for your time.

Answer: Scott, Your query prompts me to go into my customary sports medicine routine on surface-stride-shoe changes as cause of that type injury but that is for another doctor these days. Liability issues limit my ability to respond to undiagnosed conditions. If you prefer to self treat we do have a 30 day money back guarantee and I will say that you will know within that time if EMpulse is effective. Hope that helps.

Question: I have pain that goes down my back through my leg and knee and back up into the groin area will your machine help me?

Answer: Peggy, While our technology is FDA approved to treat pain in muscles and joints I have little more to offer since we do not know your diagnosis. Pain can be an external sign of a huge number of underlying causes for which you should probably see a doctor.

Question: Ihave a severe migraine ,would you please advise what to be done at once to releif the pain or part of it ,at home, p.s some times I faint for few minutes.

Answer: Yousef, Under the direction of your doctor you might wish to use our device as both studies in Europe and our experience here indicate in certain individuals this therapy can be effective. We have reports people find it effective either applied directly to the neck or side of head or placed beneath the pillow with the head resting on it. Again, that should be done with your doctor's supervision. Hope that helps.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon: I have a Pace Maker and was wondering if the EM-Probe would safe for me to use? Heard about it from the Bendele's.

Answer: Dear Dorothy, Always so nice to hear from people back home. We do not recommend use directly over pacemakers, but studies with devices having outputs similar to ours have not demonstrated a problem. We do suggest use around the shoulder or neck area is OK. Best way to check this out is go to your MD, get hooked up to an EKG, then use the device over the area of interest. You will know immediately, and even a bad effect would not likely create a serious problem. If it doesn't work or less likely, creates a problem send it back for a full refund. We want to exceed your expectations, not create more problems for you

Question: I left a message 2 days ago on your phone in line, but so far no answer. My 16 year old daughter must have surgery to repair (actually replace) her ACL, also damage was possibly done to her miniscus and MCL. I am wondering if your device might help speed up her healing process, and also reduce pain from the surgery and following physical therapy? I have looked at other devices and they are much more expensive? Thanks for any info. VL

Answer: Virginia, I sense your urgency and apologize for not responding earlier. Pulsed electromagnetic field technology has been approved and used in healing bone fractures that don't heal by other means and also to improve the healing rate in spinal fusion surgery which involves ligaments and bone. If you look at the NASA study(on our website)you will see that nanosecond speed is up to four times better at "restoring tissue after trauma" than all other electric or electromagnetic devices. Our device is approved by FDA to relieve joint and muscle pain and can be prescribed as "off label" application by the orthopedist. If he has any further questions please ask him to contact me. I practiced sports medicine and used it on athletes around the world to improve healing rates and decrease pain and inflammation. Hope that helps and again my apologies.

Question: Question:Hello Doctor,I am 72yo.,in good health except for blood pressure[1-40mgGopten+1-mgPressen].I have had an erectile problem for aprox.10yrs.,arthritist starting in my knees .My wife has macular degeneration, can your EM pulse technology help us.Have you any Australian agents, or,what is the cost of delivering the unit to Sydney Aust.+the batery pack in Aust$ Kevin

Answer: Kevin, At 69 I can appreciate the ED difficulty, that is assuredly contributed to by the blood pressure medication you take. EMpulse has been helpful to a large number of men with ED, and I can recommed you try it while lying in bed for 30-45 minutes each evening for 2-4 days. Neither I, nor others have noticed immediate erection, but rather incressed responsiveness to contact and warmth with a robustly better erection than without. Arthritis is commonly treated with EMpulse with superior results to drugs. Macular degeneration has been successfully treated and reported in several central European countries but we've done no studies with our device. Please communicate with Derek at dereks@em-probe.com regarding best way to get a unit in Sydney. Wish I could deliver it personally; it has been a wet, cold November here.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon Topic: Osteoarthritis Some studies found on Internet refer to pulses of 5-15 Hz with an intensity of 10-25 Gauss being used in an attempt to stimulate cartilage repair and lower the pain in osteoarthritis, while 72-78 Hz have more impact on bone repair. What is the truth, and where can be found the correct protocols for using the PEMF effectively on different ailments? Please advise.

Answer: Bob, Good questions. The NASA study, which was the largest ever, left the two authors split on this issue. One believes frequency has little effect, and the other believes it is important. We would all agree that any frequency that affects cartilage would also affect bone and vice versa. It is once outside 100 Hz that effectiveness seems to drop. I have no huge heartburn about 10-25 gauss(remember, diagnostic MRI is 15,000 to 30,000 gauss, but I have seen little benefit above the 2 gauss I have used to treat 20,000 patients. The NASA study used 70 MILLI-gauss. Living cells have used this energy for 3.8 billion years (give or take a few hundred thousand)and are highly responsive to it (see birds, whales, insects that can discern changes in the earth's 700 milligauss fields. We are comfortable enough that EMpulse will work for you that we guarantee it- anyone that believes in their product should.

Question: How would a person like myself go about finding a practitioner in my area that uses the em-probe? I am also interested in helping my family members in Philadelphia, PA, Charlottesville, VA, and Walnut Creek, CA. Thank you.

Answer: We have not focused our efforts on practitioners, but rather directly to consumers. We do have many practitioners who use our technology, but you would have to call 1-888-697-9996 to determine their location.

Question: Dr. Gordon is the Em-Pulse frequencies affective for enhancing protein synthesis to build a strong immune system? As you are aware the H5N1 Avian Flu virus has the potential to become a pandemic if the immune system is weak. This condition found in developing childen and declining in old age can cause countless of deaths. Is the frequency of nanaosecond pulse burts efficacious to devitalize the flue virus?

Answer: Raymond, My apologies for a tardy response. My speaking schedule has dominated my time of late. There is no proof nPEMF will specifically upregulate the immune response to H5N1 Avian flu virus. ON the other hand, immune regulation is precisely what NASA was looking at in their study(available on this site)and found evidence nPEMF achieved that better than any other technology. Their have been studies to define the ability of PEMF to devitalize viral DNA but I would not expect our technology to do so.

Question: Hello Dr. Gordon I am considering buying the Em-pulse device and read most of the questions but I did no see anyone with gastrointestinal / Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease.Do you think your device would help me, Back in August I saw a specialist and had to swollow the tube with the camera and was diognised that the muscle on the diaphragm does not close properly and allow stomach acids to splash up into my esophagus, now I have 5 mm wounds in the esophagus. I have suffered from these almost a year and have tried almost all kinds of herbal remedies and took prescription drug Pariet that instead of helping me made it a lot worse. Please advise

Answer: Iva, There have been no studies using EMpulse in treating GERD but we have several users who relate excellent success including our operations director who had tried everything as you did. There are no side effect and you have 30 days to see if it helps you.Hope this helps

Question: Dear Dr. Glen Gordon I desire to be a reseller of the Em-Pulse device and can be a go between for a radio talk interview on Coast-to-Coast with George Noory. Although, I have not received the reseller kit which i requested from Derek about a week and a half ago, I sent an email query to the Coast-to-Coast Editor to first determine if a topic of "subtle energies with regard to self healing" would be interesting topic for open discussion and question/answer format for the listeners. Please review the web site located at www.coasttocoastam.com I look forward to your email reply Raymond W. Ebbeler Black Box energy & Research Reseller (pending status)

Answer: Raymond, Our operations people have you on the radar screen and tracking your reseller package. I would be happy to participate in any opportunity to appraise the American consumer of this new healing paradigm, that unlike drugs, exceeds user expectations.

Question: Can EmPulse help treat a seriously ruptured Achilles Tendon? Thanks.

Answer: Neil, That question was best answered by a 1996 study completed at Hospital for Special Surgery, one of the foremost orthopedic institutions in the world. They found surgery no better than conservative treatment(non-operated)in completely torn Achilles. We believe the addition of EMpulse to that regimen would have clearly made the case for conservative (non-surgical)treatment. That is in keeping with the work of Dr Gabi Nindl of the Univ of Indiana School of Medicine who has found PEMF technology highly effective in treating Achilles tendon inflammation and injury. My opinion: Your injury is going to take several weeks to restore whichever you choose, but "first do no harm", good supervision, conservative treatment and EMpulse. There is no coming back from surgery, good or bad result. Hope that helps.

Question: Dear Dr. Gordon: I recently had an experience of muscle /leg weakness where i slid to the ground when my back was agaisnt a wall.. i t was not a sudden fall...but my lower back and the left side of my muscles seem to be very weak/torn i am not sure...how is the best way to build thos muscles up specifically by the hips..and sides of my spine.

Answer: I would love to help you with suggestions but that is looked upon as the practice of medicine, which I can't do. You definitely need a licensed provider to review your symptoms and examine you.

Question: Hi Dr. Gordon, I'm becoming increasingly interested in the Rife Technology. Just wondering how, if at all, this em-probe compares to a Rife machine. Thanks so much for you answer. JoyceF

Answer: Rife was a revolutionary in his time, but his technology has fallen behind state of the art understanding of electromolecular medicine. The Rife device bottom line is: old technology at a much higher price. We characterize EMpulse as "portable, affordable, and highly effective.

Question: My 13 year old son suffered a serious ski accident last winter and broke his femur in one leg and his tib fib in the other. After 6 months of healing he had his plate and screws taken out of his femur. He followed the doctors instructions for the summer (9 weeks) to take it easy and no running or piviting. After getting the okay from his doctor to start running he re-fractured his femur the next day where the bottom screw holes were (not on the original fracture). He was only walking on a hill after a big day of activites. We are 2 weeks in after another surgery to set the femur with new plates. I am sooo afraid now for him when we take the plates out in about 7 months. It is so hard for the screw holes to heal. Will this help healing those holes (after the screws are removed) and his fracture now? He is a great athlete and anxious to be strong again. Thank you so much, Teri Savelli

Answer: Teri, By all means advise your orthopedist of your interest and intent to use EMpulse. Surely he is aware of pulsed electromagnetic field treatment of poorly healing fractures ALTHOUGH he may not be familiar with the advantage of using nanosecond speed technology. In using our device to heal fractures it is considered an "off label" application which is perfectly legal for any doctor to do if the family asks for it. Good luck, any PEMF technology might be helpful but will cost thousands of dollars more money, and is not as effective if the NASA study (the largest ever completed) is correct. If he has questions ask him to call me (360-297-6858 9-5 PDT.

Question: Dr Gordon, Just wanted to report on my continue success with EMpulse, most recently gout. I've taken Allopurinol for years, and had many painful attacks. I don't need the drugs anymore, since I've started using EMpulse on my damaged big toe joint. I also place it right on my kidneys, since that is where the problem starts with inability to process uric acid. Thanks for this great invention! DF

Answer: Doug, Thanks for sharing your experience. It is an amazing reflection of what we can do to pain by modifying inflammatory chemicals with a single electron, another example of electromolecular medicine yielding better results than drugs. Good idea on the kidneys as well.

Question: I am a 57 year old male in very good physical shape, but under a lot of stress. I excercise regularly, practise yoga, and watch my diet. Recent xrays show the start of disc compression degeneration with accompanying "spurs" in the shoulder area vertebrae. In the past two months I have had to back off excercising due to chronic pain from seriously knotted muscles in my back and shoulder. I am using chiropractic with deep tissue massage and myotherapy, and heat treatment which are providing incremental help. Sleep deprivation is pushing me to my limits. I assume EMpulse will help with tight muscles. I am a believer in prevention and that all things are possible. I am very interesed in ANYTHING that effectively works to regenerate discs and get rid of the spurs without going through surgery. Thank you.

Answer: John, More fundamental than the vertebral problem are the free radicals that are the chemical cause for your pain and we can do something for them. With the pain gone you might be surprised how well the muscles in your back and neck do. You have 30 days to try the unit. Try it in the correct area, which I usually find to be the midline where the disc/vertebral complex is compormised. If you find the pain relief adequate then we can work on the long term problem of improving disc competence. hope that helps.
