EM-PROBE Technologies Founder Addresses International Military Medicine Meeting on Next Generation Technology to Assist Military's Battle with 'The Lethal Triad'

A recent presentation by EM-PROBE Technologies founder Dr. Glen Gordon at the Battlefield Healthcare 2006 conference in Crystal City, Virginia, generated significant interest in Dr. Gordon's patented nanosecond electromagnetic pulse technology among international military medical leaders. The technology, demonstrated to stop inflammation and pain rapidly in local trauma, also shows considerable promise for arresting "The Lethal Triad" -- the second leading cause of death in the early hours following combat trauma.

"Electromagnetism as a universal force can revolutionize biotechnology, just as it did information technology, if we fully understand its application in trauma and illness," Dr. Gordon told attendees. Dr. Gordon explained that a new era of electro-molecular medicine emerged when scientists established free radicals' central role in all levels of inflammation following injury, including death, unless they are rapidly controlled by antioxidants through the simple exchange of an electron. Labeling it "the compass effect," he noted these compounds are drawn to, and aligned in a specifically designed electromagnetic field, increasing antioxidant effectiveness up to a hundredfold in neutralizing these deadly free radical concentrations in the minutes and early hours following combat trauma.

Dr. Gordon's extensive treatment experience is supported by scientific reports from NASA and other research centers indicating that nanosecond Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (nPEMF) technology is highly effective at protecting tissues and increasing healing rates following trauma.

"My work has demonstrated the effectiveness of this technology in pain relief and accelerated healing in local trauma," said Dr. Gordon, "application in intermediate and massive trauma can be accomplished quickly with research funding."

Following his presentation Dr. Gordon received expressions of interest from DOD program directors wishing to study his nanosecond technology further. His plans call for return to the Washington, DC, area within the month to continue these discussions and to demonstrate his cell phone-sized technology.

Organized by the Institute for Defense and Government Enhancement and keynoted by The Honorable William Winkenwerder, Jr., M.D., M.B.A., Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, United States Department of Defense, the Battlefield Healthcare conference brought together international leaders in military medicine to discuss goals, objectives, implementation strategies, and existing program initiatives for improved battlefield healthcare.

About EM-PROBE Technologies

Sports medicine specialist and researcher, Dr. Glen Gordon founded EM-PROBE Technologies in 2001. Dr. Gordon, the first MD in the United States approved to treat humans with soft tissue injury and arthritis using nanosecond pulsed electromagnetic field technology, chaired the first symposium on free radical damage in sports injury presented at an annual meeting of The American College of Sports Medicine. An invited speaker at a 2006 W.H.O. international meeting on integrative medicine, he conducts research on his company's miniaturized, FDA-approved, hand held device, the result of 25 years of research and development. The company also provides information on PEMF technology and clinical studies through its Web site.
